CLASS aims to maximize impact by serving as many nonprofits as possible. However, to be eligible for a project, NPOs must meet specific criteria:

Organizational Criteria:

  • Located in the SF Bay Area.

  • Tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code.

  • Proven history of serving and impacting the community.

  • No negative history with CLASS or any other management consulting firm.

Project Criteria:

  • Clear understanding of how the project aligns with the organization's strategies and goals to impact the community.

  • Support from both the Board and Management.

  • Staff availability to work with the CLASS team outside regular working hours, including weekends.

  • Financial capacity to afford project resources and out-of-pocket expenses incurred by the CLASS team.

  • Resources to use and maintain the deliverables post-project completion.

CLASS does not charge for consulting services but requires a minimal engagement fee. Nonprofit organizations are responsible for any administrative or out-of-pocket expenses (e.g., stock purchases, printing fees, mileage reimbursement).

Time

The timeframe for executing a project ranges from 2-5 months, depending on the project scope.
