Selection Criteria

CLASS aims to maximize impact by serving as many nonprofits as possible. However, to be eligible for a project, NPOs must meet specific criteria:

Organizational Criteria:

Located in the SF Bay Area.

Tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code.

Proven history of serving and impacting the community.

No negative history with CLASS or any other management consulting firm.

Project Criteria:

Clear understanding of how the project aligns with the organization's strategies and goals to impact the community.

Support from both the Board and Management.

Staff availability to work with the CLASS team outside regular working hours, including weekends.

Financial capacity to afford project resources and out-of-pocket expenses incurred by the CLASS team.

Resources to use and maintain the deliverables post-project completion.

Costs
CLASS does not charge for consulting services but requires a minimal engagement fee. Nonprofit organizations are responsible for any administrative or out-of-pocket expenses (e.g., stock purchases, printing fees, mileage reimbursement).
Time
​
The timeframe for executing a project ranges from 2-5 months, depending on the project scope.
